Who we are

DeepByte is an AI engineering studio founded in Toronto, Canada. This site is operated by DeepByte. Questions about this policy go to hello@deepbyte.ca.

What we collect

• Contact details you send us through the contact form, the plan builder or the concierge: name, email, company and your message.
• First-party analytics: an anonymous visitor identifier stored in your browser, pages viewed, time on page, referring site, device and browser type, language, screen size, and an approximate location derived from your IP address (city and country).
• Concierge conversations: the text you type or say to the concierge, and its replies.
• Plans you build: the business description you provide and the plan produced.

Why

To reply to you, to understand which parts of the site are useful, to notice when someone may want to talk to us, and to improve the concierge. We do not sell personal information and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.

AI processing

The concierge, the live voice call and the plan builder are powered by OpenAI models. The text and audio you provide, together with a description of DeepByte’s services, are sent to OpenAI to generate replies. Audio from live calls is streamed to OpenAI and transcribed. We ask you not to share sensitive personal information with the concierge. OpenAI’s own data terms apply to that processing.

Cookies and storage

The public site sets no cookies. It stores a random visitor identifier in your browser’s local storage and a session identifier in session storage. Our own analytics are the only analytics on this site. The admin area, used by DeepByte staff only, uses a session cookie.

Location

We derive an approximate location (city, region, country and time zone) from your IP address using a geolocation service. We do not ask for or use your device’s precise location.

Retention

Analytics activity is kept for up to 12 months. Conversations, plans and contact messages are kept while we may need them to follow up, and deleted on request.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete information we hold about you. Email hello@deepbyte.ca and we will respond within 30 days. Residents of Canada, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and California have rights under local law which we honour.

Security

Data is stored on servers we control, encrypted in transit, with access limited to DeepByte staff who need it.

We will update this page when our practices change and update the date above.
